Road Freight

The road connections that intersect our sites, rail network and ports are a vital component of our east coast of Australia network and together they are a complete and efficient supply chain.

We work with freight providers and truck drivers to ensure operations occur as efficiently as possible, in a safe environment for our people, our partners and our communities.

Time Slotting

You can manage your freight bookings with GrainCorp’s Time Slotting system for deliveries into GrainCorp ports, or trucks loading at country locations. This helps to efficiently manage aspects relating to safety, quality control, access and site or port logistics and regulations.

Time slots can be booked using GrainCorp’s online Time Slotting system at by phoning 1800 472 467 or emailing

To view Time Slotting capacity and see site contacts, please refer to the Time Slotting Capacity Report.

Mass Management and Truck Charts

Each truck combination that GrainCorp deals with is assigned a specific truck code and it is recommended that truck drivers become familiar with their truck code prior to arriving at our sites or ports. Trucks operating at weights heavier than the General Mass Limit (GML) must present applicable permits prior to loading.

Heavy Vehicle Access

We have resolved most ‘last mile’ issues where B-double trucks could not access GrainCorp sites. However, care must be taken with other combinations including road trains, PBS trucks and trucks operating to the Higher Mass Limit. Our staff will request access permits for trucks loading at sites.

Trucks are encouraged to send permits to prior to arrival where they will be checked and communicated to site to minimise delays.

GrainCorp and Safety

We take safety very seriously at GrainCorp and do everything we can to ensure our people and partners operate in safe environments. It’s a team effort though and as a truck driver, freight carrier or freight partner working with GrainCorp, we require you to be aware of your obligations, specifically:

  • Fatigue management
  • Mass management and the Grain Harvest Management Schemes
  • Logbooks
  • Chain of Responsibility
